You know how proud I am to work for Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center because I've invited so many of you into the fold as donors, clients, vendors, volunteers, and more.

Everyday, through our work, I see that when motivated men and women who want to start their own businesses receive critical training, ongoing support and resources - they create thriving businesses. And in the San Francisco Bay Area, it is especially true. The people most affected are women, individuals with low incomes, persons facing language barriers and those who are formerly incarcerated . These are the people served by Renaissance. Small business ownership is recognized as one of the surest routes to economic mobility for persons facing barriers to wage employment.
